NASA Microgravity University

NASA Microgravity University gives undergraduate students the unique opportunity to design, build, fly and evaluate their own experiments in a microgravity environment.

The NASA Academy provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to do research with a top NASA scientist at one of four NASA field centers. Ten-week sessions are offered at the Ames Research Center, Glenn Research Center, Goddard Space Flight Research Center, and Marshall Space Flight Center.

Summer application deadline: January 31, 2008

NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program offers opportunities for up to 100 juniors and seniors to work with research scientists at NASA field centers across the country. Programs are offered in spring and fall. Each session runs 10-15 weeks.

Application deadline: February 1, 2008

Langley Aerospace Research Summer Scholars Program (LARSS) is a 10-week summer internship for rising juniors and seniors pursuing degrees in aeronautical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, computer science, atmospheric science or other selected aerospace disciplines of interest to the NASA Langley Research Center.

Lewis Educational and Research Collaborative Internship Program (LERCIP) provides 10-week internships for students in science, engineering, technology, mathematics and professional administration at the NASA Glenn Research Center.

Application deadline: January 25, 2008

The Lunar Planetary Institute (LPI) Summer Intern Program recruits undergraduates to work one-on-one with a scientist at the LPI or at the NASA Johnson Space Center on a research project of current interest in planetary science.

Tech-Interns.com is the result of a partnership between NASA and the American Society for Engineering Education to increase the awareness of opportunities in engineering and science to undergraduate and graduate students.

The Graduate Student Researchers Program (GSRP) is designed to help meet the continuing needs of the aeronautics and space effort by increasing the number of highly trained scientists and engineers in aerospace, space science, space applications and space technology.
