Stipend


The Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium will provide all materials for the workshop as well as snacks and lunches. Teachers who participate will receive a $100 stipend to defray any expenses (motel, meals, travel) and/or to allow teachers to pay for clock hours or credits.

Credits and clock hours


Participants may choose to receive credits or clock hours from the workshop. Two credits of Astro 497 from the University of Washington can be obtained for $176. Participants who take the workshop for university credit will be required to complete one of a selection of several activities or projects to receive credit. These activities/projects will require a maximum of 10 hours of additional work beyond the workshop sessions.

Twenty-one professional development clock hours from the Washington Science Teachers Association can be obtained at a cost of $25.
