electronic newsletter for teachers.
This new service will provide you with curriculum ideas, Internet links and
other resources to help you better meet the Washington Essential Academic Learning Requirements and the National Science Education Standards.
New bulletins will be e-mailed the first and third week of each month during
the school year.

REMEMBERING APOLLO 11 CD-ROM
Remembering Apollo 11: The 30th Anniversary Data Archive CD-ROM is available
free while supplies last.
If you would like a copy, please send a self-addressed sturdy mailer or
padded envelope stamped with sufficient postage (generally $1.90) to the
NASA Information Center Mail Code CI-4, 300 E Street SW, Room 1H23,
Washington, D.C. 20546-0001. Only one CD per customer, please. No cash or
checks accepted in lieu of postage.
EVERYDAY CLASSROOM TOOLS
This Web site from the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and NASA's
Learning Technologies Project offers an inquiry-based science curriculum for
kindergarten through sixth grade.
Each thread in this curriculum begins by telling you how the National
Standards are incorporated. Through this feature, producers say they hope to
allow teachers "new freedom in your science
curriculum, while assuring you that our program fulfills requirements you

More than 35 new federal educational resources have been added to FREE, the
one-stop Web site that lets teachers search the resources of over 40 federal

REGISTRATION OPENS FOR NASA CONNECT 1999-2000
NASA CONNECT, a series of 30-minute integrated mathematics and science
programs, is designed to increase science literacy, to improve
math and science proficiency of students in grades four to eight, and to
increase the competency of math and science educators.
The program is delivered free to registrants via satellite television and the
Internet.
The program emphasizes the national mathematics and science standards, the
AETC/AASL information literacy standards, and the national
