University of Washington Fellowships
Fellowships are not being offered in the 2015-2016 academic year.
WSGC Fellowships at the University of Washington provide recipients with a single quarter to focus solely on their master's or doctoral research.
A priority is placed on supporting students who are primarily funded through teaching assistantships and have little or no funding to support the research required to complete their master's or doctoral thesis.
Graduate students who require bridge funding to complete their project in NASA-related research interests are also eligible.
WSGC fellowship awards are in the amount of $5,500 plus tuition. Women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
To apply: Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Preference will be given to applicants working as UW teaching assistants at the time of application.
Eligible UW graduate students seeking to apply should complete the online WSGC Fellowship application and submit the following supporting materials:
- Graduate Record Examination score (official or unofficial)
- Unofficial transcript showing current grade point average
- Faculty/supervisor letter of support
- A personal letter (no more than two pages) outlining need, scope of proposed research, its potential or maturity for future developments, and the relationship if any between existing teaching assistant commitments and planned research
Questions should be directed to Associate Director Juan-Carlos Chavez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
