NASA Academy
NASA Academy, NASA's
premier leadership training program, brings selected college students
to work on-site with NASA Center researchers, visit other NASA Centers and NASA
Headquarters, and meet aerospace business leaders. The 10-week sessions
are designed to build leadership skills and give the students a glimpse of
the aerospace industry as a whole.
Each January, Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium evaluates applications from students attending colleges and universities in
Washington state, and forwards them to the appropriate NASA centers. If
selected, nominees receive a $4,000 stipend and round-trip transportation.
The participating NASA field center will host the student, and will
provide housing, local transportation and meals.
