/ January 4, 2022/ Artemis lava tube challenge — 2022, For faculty, For grad students

WSGC is seeking faculty and graduate student mentors for our NASA Artemis Student Challenge — the Lunar Lava Tube Exploration Challenge.

Who will you be mentoring?

Undergraduate students from across the U.S. can participate in LLTEC.  We will be running an academic year cycle from January–May 2022 and a summer cycle from June–August 2022. Washington NASA Space Grant seeks to engage students from communities historically excluded from STEM with a focus on students with traditionally marginalized genders, BIPOC, students with disabilities, and students from rural communities.

For Graduate Students: Each graduate student mentor will assist 2 undergraduate teams.  Stipends of $2,000 - $3,000 will be provided.

For Faculty: Each faculty mentor will assist 1 undergraduate team.  Faculty engagement is essential for successful technical and professional mentoring in this hands-on student opportunity.
