2007-2008 Scholars
Space Grant scholar Jihad El-Saadoun receives his award from SCCC President Mildred W. Ollée .

Since 1994, Washington NASA Space Grant has awarded scholarships to promising Seattle Central Community College students.

Washington NASA Space Grant Scholarships are one-year awards of $2,700 each presented to students in science, mathematics, engineering, or science education who show exceptional promise and intend to continue their studies at a four-year institution.

Many of these talented Seattle Central students have gone on to receive WSGC transfer scholarships at the University of Washington.

Students who have overcome obstacles (whether financial, personal, and/or academic), and who are now deeply committed to getting a good education are often among the awardees. Women and underrepresented minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.
